Looking for something to do with children during school holidays or weekends?

Alistair Hector

'Edinburgh's Old Town Zoo' is a fun guided walk aimed at Middle/Upper Primary children.

• Take an easy trail lasting around 60 minutes (all downhill!) from Edinburgh Castle Esplanade to near St Giles Cathedral.
• Hunt for the many animals that 'live' in the Old Town's monuments and sculptures.
• Discover a whole menagerie with lots of stories to tell!

The walk is guided by Alistair Hector, Scottish Tourist Guide. Alistair is a retired teacher now working as an STGA Blue Badge Tourist Guide. He has a Disclosure Scotland PVG certificate and is also certified under VisitScotland's 'We're Good to Go' scheme for Covid-safe tourism.

Guideline price £25 per family. Children must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult.

'Edinburgh's Old Town Zoo' walks are a fundraising initiative - all proceeds will be donated to Ferrywell Youth Project, supporting young people to make the best choices in Pilton, Muirhouse and Drylaw.
